Water & Moisture
- Water is not just a treatment, but probably the best anti aging ingredient. - Natural, plant derived oils are the base of many anti-aging treatments and creams. With emollient properties, they prevent water loss. They shouldn’t be used on oily skin. However once skin ages and dries off, it needs additional hydration and oils provide nourishment, soften skin and lock in moisture efficiently. Well hydrated skin means healthy skin that is able to protect itself from damage.
Vitamin C
- Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radical damage. On the skin, it improves elasticity because it stimulates collagen synthesis, and it’s well known that collagen is responsible for skin’s elasticity, integrity and youthful appearance. Collagen production decreases with age so it’s necessary to always encourage its production.
Proteins
- Collagen: the skin protein responsible for maintaining elasticity by binding water molecules and preventing the cellular water loss; collagen fibres provide support and strength to the skin. Their loss can be compensated with collagen in creams, or by stimulating the body to produce more collagen on its own.
Botanicals and Fruit Enzymes:
- Nature has its resources, like ingredients that have regenerating, nourishing, soothing and moisturizing properties; fruit enzymes are particularly suitable for anti-aging treatments because they are efficient exfoliators. Such an enzyme is bromelain, extracted from pineapple.

Hydroquinone
– A lightening agent often used in anti aging treatments, designed to fade dark spots related to age, scars etc. It is considered the highest performing “lightening agent” available on the market, although there are alternative agents such as Kojic Acid or Mulberry Extract.
Retinol
